LAMINATED ADHESIVE


Five strips of our heavy-duty, construction-grade adhesive are used to laminate the spacer to the dent.

BUILT-IN RESISTANCE TO ALGAE FORMATION


Special granules with a long-lasting color, embedded in the surface of the shingles, prevent the formation of blue-green algae which can cause black spots, streaks and discoloration.

ROBUST ARMOR


Both sides of our fiberglass mattress are coated with a layer of weather-resistant bitumen. The surface of the shingle is then covered with colored granules. This ultra-robust construction gives the shingle exceptional durability and structural integrity.

EXCEPTIONAL ADHESION


The IKO Fastlock™ sealant on the bottom edge of our shingles becomes ultra-sticky under the heat of the sun. This strong adhesion ensures maximum protection against lifting and tearing by wind, and against water infiltration.

Shingles are the first line of defense. However, the protection, performance and appearance they provide are best when used in conjunction with the PRO4 integrated roofing accessories shown below.

1. IKORuban's GoldSeamMC sealing tape for roofing


1a. Apply where the eaves and eaves fascia join.


1b. Apply to the joints to waterproof the deck when laying the synthetic underlay.


StormShield® Ice and Water Protector


1c. Apply under shingles to prevent water infiltration from ice dams and wind-driven rain.

2. StormtiteMD


Synthetic underlay of choice from IKO, at an affordable cost. More robust than conventional felts, and lightweight, Stormtite is easily installed even in cold weather. Stormtite is the perfect combination of robustness and flexibility.

3. Leading Edge PlusMC or EdgeSealMD


Along the edges and eaves, apply starter shingles with IKO heat-activated high-strength adhesive or our double-sided roll starter strip to ensure wind resistance in this critical area of the first course of shingles.

4. Hip & Ridge Plus™ Shingles


These traditional perforated hip and ridge shingles are available in the same shades as our most popular laminated shingles. They are installed very easily by bending and nailing them.
